The JHC Partnership Group Chair role

About the role:

This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a strong working in partnership culture across public, private and charitable organisations and is a critical part in driving the delivery of new, integrated health and care pathways through increased and effective partnership working. The Jersey Health and Care Partnership Group (‘the Group’) acts as an important partnership forum across the health and care system in Jersey to support the development, design and implementation of the Jersey Care Model and service improvements across the whole system to increase health outcomes for Islanders.

The Chair will lead the Group with the purpose of seeking to increase collaboration and integration between all stakeholders in line with the Jersey Care Model principles.

The Chair will ensure that the Group focuses on outcomes to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes for Islanders and achieves it aims to:

  • increase collaboration and integration between all stakeholders;
  • provide a platform where opportunities to join up health and care are well communicated and shared;
  • discuss collectively how to improve residents’ day-to-day health; and
  • request clinical or technical advice and patient/client experience input to JCM projects from the advisory panels.

Time Commitment:

circa 2 days per month

(may be more when the quarterly board meetings occur. This includes the additional time required for meeting preparation and informal networking.)

Remuneration:

up to £15,000 per annum

In order to be effective in the role, the Chair will be required to manage and work closely with a wide range of public, private and charitable stakeholders in Jersey to establish and maintain good working relationships across all partners and to facilitate the identification and development of opportunities for new partnerships and integrated ways of working across the wider Jersey Health and Care economy.

The Chair will be expected to lead the group, plan and chair meetings, although a business support officer will be available to support the chair with their duties. The Group itself will meet quarterly.

The Chair will also be the spokesperson for the group as required for media and press requests. The Chair will provide regular updates to the Independent Oversight Board for the JCM, to States Members, to the Minister, Scrutiny Panels or Audit requests. The Chair will establish good working relationships with the chairs of the other JCM Governance groups to enable a productive bilateral information flow.
