The Chair will ensure that the Board is run effectively and efficiently and fulfils its role and purpose as set out in its Terms of Reference.

In particular, the Chair will be expected to:

• run the Board effectively and efficiently and ensure it fulfils its role and purpose as set out in the Terms of Reference;
• provide monthly reports on the Board’s findings and recommendations;
• support a positive learning culture; and
• help the programme team to improve their programme reporting.

We are looking for someone with a track record of achieving improvement by holding to account, experience of reporting upwards and outwards on high profile issues and who can operate objectively and independently in an political environment.

The successful candidate will be supported by having senior leadership experience in either business, government, philanthropy, or the non-profit sector.
