Job Purpose

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has the overall responsibility for delivering the Trust’s strategy by creating the culture, systems and processes to achieve our mission to improve the quality of life for all we serve and to build a Trust that provides high quality mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity services embedded in our integrated care systems so patient care is connected through the place they live in and around their needs.

They will do this through compassionate, inclusive and inspirational leadership, continued focus on quality improvement and clinical leadership, putting service users at the heart of service delivery, as well as by ensuring equity of access, experience and outcomes.

They will contribute on an equal footing with their peers in the system leadership as a whole.

The post holder will ensure that ‘people are the heart of what we do’ promoting the development of the Trust being a centre of excellence for mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity.

They will lead the Trust in the development and delivery of its strategic roles and responsibilities as Lead Provider in both the South West Provider Collaborative and the Devon Mental Health, Learning Disability and Neurodiversity Provider Collaborative.
