Our Hospitals Charity
Our Hospitals Charity enhances care and the hospital environment for South Tees patients across Teesside and North Yorkshire.
Our Hospitals Charity raises funds to enhance the environment across all the departments where our patients are treated by dedicated staff.
The funds we raise are used to provide a more welcoming space with the latest in high tech, modern equipment and the best creature comforts that everyone can benefit from.
As the fundraising arm of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, our charitable work takes us across Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Hambleton and Richmondshire, making the difference and improving the health and wellbeing of more than one million patients, carers, visitors and staff across all our sites and community services.
Our donors can choose a specific ward, department or research area close to their hearts if they wish, or make a general donation which we can use to support patients – from newborn babies to those who are at the end of life and their carers.
Why do our hospitals need to raise funds?
While NHS funding pays for much of the vital equipment and facilities our hospitals and community services need, there are many extra resources which make life more comfortable and healthcare more efficient for our patients, visitors and staff, that NHS finances cannot stretch to.
