Director of Healthy Careers
Salary:
Band 8D
Location:
Flexible working across partner organisations
About the role
As the ICS matures, we see a key role for it as a network of Anchor institutions, offering strong employment opportunities and a positive impact on local communities. The Director of Healthy Careers will work with stakeholders and system partners to deliver a co-ordinated programme of workforce and culture development.
The postholder will lead specific elements of a ‘one workforce’ strategy in line with the NHS People Plan, including attraction and development of talent across the ICS system, careers planning, staff retention and shaping an inclusive and collaborative culture.
The role will require working across organisational boundaries to form positive working relationships with system partners, training and education providers, major local employers and local authorities.
There are a number of key delivery areas for this role:
- Design the Surrey Heartlands employer proposition;
- Responsible for enabling the best joint ICS health & wellbeing offer for people recovery following COVID-19 and long term workforce health and wellbeing;
- Work with the ICS partners and staff networks to ensure that the ICS develops as an anchor system and confronts inequalities with targeted action;
- Work with colleagues and institutions to understand and shape the needs of education and development for tomorrow’s workforce supply.
