A reflective session for those who have explored opportunities beyond NHSE but have decided to stay. We’ll look at how to consciously recommit , reset boundaries and expectations, and engage with purpose. From rebuilding energy and credibility to having honest conversations and reshaping your role,  this session offers a practical insight on staying by choice – not default – and moving forward with renewed clarity and intent.

From mindset shifts and rebuilding networks to managing risk and redefining identity, this session offers candid insight to help you approach life beyond the NHS with clarity and confidence.

Session Lead: Lisa Emery

A thoughtful session on how to leave well - professionally, reputationally and personally. We’ll explore how to manage conversations, protect relationships, hand over with integrity, and shape the narrative of your departure. We’ll also consider the emotional transition of stepping out of a senior public role and how to leave in a way that preserves goodwill, credibility and future opportunity.

Reinventing yourself for the voluntary/community sector

Session Lead: Peter Molyneux

A practical session exploring how to translate NHS leadership experience into a compelling proposition for voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations. We’ll look at which parts of the VCS are most likely to value NHS experience, what VCS leaders are really looking for, and how NHS skills and ways of working land in this context.

The session will focus on how to position your experience so it aligns with VCS values, expectations and operating realities - helping you clearly articulate your potential value and impact in the sector.

An introduction to the NED landscape: what boards are really looking for, how to build a credible NED profile, and the routes into first roles. We’ll also cover common misconceptions and how to prepare for portfolio board careers.

A focused session with a two-part approach to LinkedIn at senior level. We’ll begin with how to shape a compelling executive profile, raise visibility, and engage strategically, before turning to how recruiters, boards, and networks assess and use LinkedIn when identifying and evaluating leaders.
